Spring Trends 2018:

Spring is one of my favorite seasons. I love pastels, I love florals, and I love what spring represents which is starting fresh. If you feel a little stuck in a fashion rut, spring is the perfect time to refresh your style. Here are some of the spring trends I’m loving and which anyone can pull off.

      • Check Print. This blazer from H&M is a major favorite of mine. The fit is perfection and it’s light enough to be worn as a shirt. Make sure you wear it belted to keep it secure, the snaps are a little flimsy. I also love this print in a mini dress or a newsboy cap to embrace another trend.
      • Newsboy Caps. I LOVE HATS. Hats are one of my favorite accesories because they can either cover up your hair or accentuate it. If you have long shiny locks, they look so fresh cascading from these little caps, if you have akward hair or dirty hair they instantly elevate your style.
      • Pastels. Lavender specifically. Lavender is one of my favorite colors and so is pale pink. You can mix these colors together or go totally monochrom. A fun way to incorporate pastels into a look is with accesories. A pale yellow bag or scarf. A pair of lavender slides or pumps. There are so many cute options this spring!
      • Transparent. Whether it’s clear plastic or mesh, the see-through trend is ironically hard to miss. Again accessories are an easy way to incorporate this trend but I also love a mesh top layer like a sheer kimono or mesh trench coat.
      • Polka Dots. Specifically black and white polka dots. I LOVE this trend. It can be subtle or full on Minnie Mouse. A spotted blouse and black trousers is sufficient for the office, but a flitry skirt and crop top is perfect for the weekend. I especially love a classic wrap dress in this print, it’s ultra feminine.
      • Sock Booties. These are a continuing trend from 2017 and I’m here for it. I love how streamlined they are and how feminine they look. Clunky boots aren’t my thing and I feel like a lot of ankle booties cut your ankle visually and shorten your stature. Sock booties on the other hand, er uh, foot, continue the line of your leg and especially if worn monochromatically (nude for bare legs, black for black jeans) can make your legs look a mile long.
      • Fruit Print. This one wasn’t on the runways and isn’t on all the lists on who what wear, but I’ve seen so many adorable fruit prints I cannot even. Lemons, cherries, oranges and more, the fruit salad trend is lit.

  • Circle Bags. These are so in, from round ratten bali bags to hat-box inspired styles, the circle bag is the it-bag for spring.
  • Pearls. Pearls on anything and everything except your neck. Pearl embellished bags, belts, earrings, shoes and more are all over the runways and the highstreet stores. I am a huge fan and clearly I’m embracing this trend. The best part is that pearls are timeless so even when they’re not “everything” they’re still chic.
