I got this KARTA shift dress at a consignment store for $13- it had the original tags on reading $250. I think the reason I find such amazing items like this so discounted and never worn is that people don’t know how to wear them, or they don’t get them tailored and the fit just isn’t ever right. I took this into my tailor and had darts put in the back and a longer zipper installed. If I can’t stress anything else, let me tell you to “Just Ask”- find a great tailor and just ask for what you want. If you think it would be easier to get on and off or you think it would hang better or be more flattering with a longer zipper, or a shorter hem or whatever- just ask take it from me, you’ll be glad you did. Especially when you pay $13 for a $250 dress, spend some extra money getting it tailored!
