I am very excited to be back in New York for Fashion Week! This is officially my third season and frist time in February. Let me tell you… it is freezing. But my adrenaline is running high so I will survive. Kier and I arrived Wednesday night after we got stuck in Florida on an 8 hour layover due to the icy conditions at the NYC airports. As soon as we arrived we checked into what may be the best hotel in NYC for Fashion Week- the Empire- right across the street from the Lincoln center. I already am calling it my second home. I’ll post pictures of our room set up soon:)
Our first show to start the week, my personal favorite- BCBGMAXAZRIA. Remember my post from September’s show here? I had to pinch myself to remember that it was real life. Tribal prints and big fur capes graced the runway. I am glad to see that (All BCBGMAXAZRIA photo credit: Thomas Kletcka)
This dress is my favorite piece from the runway collection. I love the print, open neckline, and the way the fabric flowed down the runway.
Love these photos inside the tent at Lincoln Center.
Our second stop was the Raoul presentation. As a blogger, I personally prefer presentations because you can really get an up close and personal look at the clothes. Although runway shows have a great anticipation aspect. The lights dimming… music turning on… My favorite piece from Raoul was the black straight coat with houndstooth print along the bottom. This gives me the idea for a great DIY project with stencils and a coat.
