As you may know, Jacques and I have been to Paris a few times in the last several years. We have always stayed at our flat in Paris and after a long remodel, it is finally for rent for my audience- we won’t be posting this on AIRBNB or VRBO or any other sites! This info is only for Kier Couture Readers- we don’t want any weirdos in our place and we obviously trust you with our space and know you will love this Parisian escape.

Jacques’ Description:

The flat is located on Rue Des Martyrs in Paris. It’s It’s centrally located in the 9th Arrondissement allowing for easy walking distances to the Opera and Galeries Lafayette as well as Montmartre and Sacré-Coeur. Recent area improvements have made the street even more pedestrian-friendly, increasing the small village feel of shopping and dining. Just down the street is the Metro stop on the 12 line at Notre-Dame-de-Lorette.

The Street was recently (2016) featured in Elaine Sciolino’s book: The Only Street in Paris: Life on Rue des Martyrs and is now the gateway to the SoPi section of Paris which is becoming a new hotspot. Every imaginable food type is available in the immediate area…whether it be traditional French fare or Italian, Brazilian, Greek, Japanese or a just great empanada, you won’t be hunting long to satisfy your taste buds. In addition to the restaurants, there are more than 10 boulangeries fulfilling all your croissant and macaron desires. Lest not we forget the Chocolate specialty stores, cheesemongers, fresh vegetable/fruits and naturally, the wine stores!

The Flat has just been completely renovated; new floors, walls, furniture, and fixtures. It has a separate WC (toilet) and a very nice rain shower. It sits in a quaint courtyard on the ground floor with a small garden and palm tree out front. Beyond the porte-cochère, there is a large traditional wooden door that leads to the famed rue Des Martyrs. Secured with a digital lock this outer door separates the city beyond, giving you a truly private feeling.

The flat comes with washer/dryer, laundry detergent, hangers, ironing board/iron, steamer, vacuum, towels, basic toiletries, as well as soap, shampoo, curling iron, blow dryer and some lotions and potions. There are also a good supply of paper towels and toilet paper. New pots and pans, toaster, electric hot water pot, french press and coffee, plates/glasses/silverware. There are a good amount of herbs and spices and a new convection/microwave if you feel like creating. There is also very fast wifi and free calls to the US on the home phone.
