Worth Avenue:
Last week Jacques and I went shooting on Worth Ave and in the surrounding areas. Many bloggers who live in Palm Beach County do the same. It’s a gorgeous area with so many cute little nooks and doorsteps, this location being one of them. I thought this area would be perfect for this look because the shoes I am wearing are by Rangoni. Rangoni only has six US locations and I’m so lucky to live near one of them, located on none other than Worth Avenue.
For those unfamiliar, don’t worry, I was too. My first time driving up this iconic street I made the remark that “it reminds me of Rodeo Drive” Luckily I was with Jacques who corrected me before I could embarrass myself. You see, Worth Avenue is older and more established. Many see Rodeo Drive as a teenager compared to the sophisticated elegance of Worth Ave. Worth Avenue became a shopping destination roughly 40 years before Rodea Drive. Worth Ave. ends at the edge of the Atlantic Ocean, with gorgeous pedestrian vias and original Spanish-inspired architecture. All these attributes make it more elegant and less of a tourist trap. The spectacular selection of stores, location, and attention to detail makes Worth Ave a notch above.
If you get the chance to visit Palm Beach make sure you stop by Worth Avenue. You’ll enjoy a day of shopping sipping and beautiful photo ops. If you do intend to shop you’re in luck! Many of the stores, used to catering to the richest clientele, have large stocks available and special, limited edition items reserved for the best clients (who shop there). Make sure you dress your best and that your date brings a jacket. Many of the bars and restaurants maintain staunch dress codes and jackets are “preferred”. You don’t want to feel underdressed. In all the ways you can stand out, being underdressed on Worth Avenue isn’t the way to do it.
Where to Shop:
Some of my favorite stores on Worth Ave include Chanel, Louis Vuitton, and Gucci. Clearly, Rangoni is in good company. There is also a selection of department stores including Saks 5th Avenue and Neiman Marcus. If you’re a Kate Spade lover you need to stop at this location as it’s just adorable and boasts a large selection of Kate’s Madison Ave line. I once got the most beautiful leather trench coat there.
Where to Drink:
As far as drinks go, I love Ta-boo. Ta-boo is a legendary restaurant (opened in 1941) and used to host icons like Frank Sinatra and JFK. The design is gorgeous and the drinks are perfection. Ta-boo also boasts a delightful and affordable happy hour at the bar. It’s been said, “If you were not seen at Ta-boo, you were not seen in town.”
Where to Eat:
Cafe Flora combines the perfect ambiance, natural outdoor beauty, remarkable architecture and landscaping in arguably the most beautiful and serene via on Worth Avenue.
