I am so obsessed with the bougainvillea in Los Angeles in spring. In some areas it can completely take over streets and ally ways. Something about it reminds me of The Secret Garden.. I was totally obsessed with that book when I was a little girl.. that part of me thinks that if I ever get married it will be in a secret garden, but the adult part of me thinks that would be messy and full of bugs… It’s so funny how you change when you grow up.

I wore this to NYC in April but since I went alone I didn’t get around to shooting it until recently when I got together with Matt Waugh. He’s such a great photog and I love chatting him up because he has an aussi accent! We shot these photos around Venice and a few more looks and I absolutely love his work- make sure to check him out here.
