Wild Bride: The best Bridal Boutique in San Francisco:
I went to SF in January with my sister, mom and my mom’s BFF, Tammy. We had four dress appointments and a meeting to order invitations that day. Since we all flew in, we only had one shot to find the dress and order the invites- no stress though. Our first appointment went okay, The dresses, nor the staff were very impressive. We didn’t love the dressing rooms either but we did find a dress my mom *kind of* liked. I wasn’t sold.
The next stop on our list was Wild Bride. Just hearing the name you might think of very alternative dresses, maybe a bit “San Fransico” ish, lezbihonest, you know what I mean, right? Well anyway, we walked in and were instantly put into a calm, excited (if there is such a thing) mood. The decor was soft but funky and the owner, Samira brought us champagne in stemless flutes and introduced herself. She warmly welcomed into the space and got acquainted. Samira asked what my mom had in mind and pulled a few selects with us. We were all instantly having fun and felt like Samira was a long-time family friend. I don’t know if it was the floor to ceiling windows, the boho-chic decor, or the champagne but everything my mom tried on at Wild Bride was leaps and bounds over the last location.
I won’t post my mom’s dress of course until the wedding. (Stay tuned for her wedding post and my MOH dress selection) However, I do want to show you some of the other dresses she tried so you can get a sense of the vibe at Wild Bride. (see below)
Also, if you have the urge to get married in the dress Ariel wore as she walked out of the ocean at the end of The Little Mermaid, then you HAVE TO go to Wild Bride. They literally had that exact dress. (I wanted to try it on but it was my mom’s special day and “not everything is about me” according to my sister…. whatever, haha.)
The Dress:
We found the dress and she came out of the room with the BIGGEST Smile on her face. Since we had two more appointments we told Samira we’d let her know and continued.
The next appointment was near The Museum of Ice Cream SF so I was already turned off. But I tried to keep an upbeat attitude. This fitting was not as personal, it was a large room with tons of changing rooms and a large open area for the bridal party to wait in. We instantly missed the intimate setting of Wild Bride but we continued. Dress after dress we were reminded that we had already found “The Dress” and eventually left. On our way to the invitation appointment, we decided to cancel the fourth fitting and return to Wild Bride to purchase the dress.
Not only did my mom find a dress she loves and looks AMAZING in, but we also stayed almost one-thousand dollars under budget so we were able to get a gorgeous veil and accessories as well.
I highly suggest Wild Bride if you’re looking to shop for dresses in SF. The selection, personal touch, price points, and vibe were unmatched and of course, we are proud to support Samira, a female entrepreneur and all around cool gal.
