NYFW FW 2015 Day 1 Marissa Webb

Hi y’all! So last Thursday I was extremely lucky to sit front row at Marissa Webb and I fell in love with the feminine utilitarian vibe, contrasting textures, asymmetrical hemlines, and effortless layering. Cherry red, grey, pale pink, olive and white are repeated from last fall but somehow feel more polished and put together with the preppy meets, masculine, meets feminine, meets ballerina. Cotton, lace, wool, silk, and chiffon all compliment each other and I have a feeling the trend of m FW15 will be mixing and layering textures… I personally will need to practice… Marissa Webb is slightly out of my price range but if you;ve been living under a rock, Marissa Webb is the new creative director of Banana Republic, so if you want to pick up on the vibe for a little less, make sure you check out Banana Republic’s new FW15 line!

Anyway, the above photos are what I actually wore to Marissa Webb at Milk Studios and were shot by Roger but I had a really fun photo shoot with Justin James Photo in Central Park for my DVF look- (coming soon) and I thought, hey why not shoot a few more images in this look too while we were there… I had to wear different boots because it was so snowy so the shoes differ a little but they turned out to be some of my favorites, what do you think?

  1. Hi Kier,

I’m interested in achieving the same look you created for the pink furry DIY stole and gloves. What materials did you use? Can you briefly describe the process? I am in love with all of your looks on your blog by the way.

    Thank you!
