How to No-Sew Shorten A Maxi Dress:
I wish I could show you all a really step by step DIY for “How to No-Sew Shorten A Maxi Dress” but, it’s literally so simple that it would be overkill. I instead, put together this vivid graphic detailing the extent to which I redesigned this maxi dress into a killer mini.
Basically, put the dress on, mark where you want to cut it, and cut the dress. ( Do this while you’re not wearing it.) Next, take the discarded fabric and wrap it around your torso and bottom. You can do this a few times until you achieve the desired look. Tie the fabric around your waist. IT. IS. THAT. SIMPLE. Yeah… I cut up a $27 dress… and you know what? I got a bunch of compliments on it… a few girls came up to ask where my dress was from.

As a blogger, I find it a little redundant to recycle such a bold print and honestly this “maxi” dress wasn’t quite long enough for my taste anyway… Now, because I shortened it, I think it’s way better. It is way more Me.. you know?
