Backless Gowns

On Sunday my dear friends Chris and Linda got married at a beautiful Bel-Air estate. Obviously you can tell from my blog, I love the color purple so I felt right at home in the glamourous lavender and violet wonderland. My boyfriend Roger was a groomsmen in the wedding so it was absolutely paramount that I looked worthy of his arm. The ceremony started early so I needed sunglasses on the drive up, of course I chose my Kate Spade’s which just added a hint of Breakfast at Tiffany’s style. Roger and I looked for two weeks for a dress we both liked and I honestly was shocked at the lack of selection of backless gowns or gowns at all for that matter at most department stores we tried. Finally I found this Sherri Hill gown and it fit perfectly, was sexy but not over the top. I sent a photo to the bride just to make sure I was shopping along the right lines and she said it was gorgeous, so I bought it.

The Dolce & Gabbana shoes are from Fall/Winter 2006-07 and my mother spoiled me with  them on our trip to Paris, France. They were my first designer item and I almost fainted when I saw them. I rarely get to wear them but as soon as I got my dress locked down I knew they were a perfect pair.

I got so many lovely compliments on my look, but I didn’t look half as gorgeous as the bride. The Antique style dress and veil were so stunning on her perfect figure, and her glowing beautiful face. I wish Linda and Chris all the happiness in the world and feel so lucky that Roger and I have friends like these two. Congratulations!!

With love from Hollywood,

Kier
