Hi, I’m Kier, pronounced “key-air”. I was born in a very small town in Washington State where the only thing glamorous were the Rodeo Queens. (Like pageant queens that ride and rope!) It became quite obvious at an early age, I was never going to fit in; I had big city dreams. From the time I was 2 years old I would conduct impromptu fashion shows for my family as they tried to enjoy some TV. My living room became my runway as I twirled and modeled my way across their line of sight. Changing my clothes as often as I could, several times if possible! I would style a look, come downstairs, and say to my family, “ok look at this outfit now!” With my family’s support, I’d run back upstairs for a quick change, again and again until I ran out of clothes or tired myself out.
At the ripe old age of eight, my aunt gave me a vintage ice blue nightgown that swept the floor in heavy, silky fabric. I cherished that beautiful frock as I stood in front of the mirror for the following two weeks draping it 100 different ways, tying it into different variations of a dress, a skirt, and a top. I don’t know where it ended up or whoever got to enjoy it’s elegance after me, but it ignited a love of vintage glamour, which remains to this day.
As a child, my favorite movies were: Heidi, Overboard, Pretty Woman, Clueless, and Romy and Michelle’s High School Reunion. My celebrity obsessions included Dolly Parton, Anna Nicole Smith, and Goldie Hawn. I have always been drawn to over the top glamour, individualism, big personalities and funny woman with their own opinions!
When I turned 18, I moved to Los Angeles alone, to pursue a modeling and acting career. It became very apparent, rather quickly, that I had too much sass to successfully work for other (non-creative) people. You can read between the lines. I knew I needed to be my own boss and create something inspiring and ever-changing. I never imagined that I would be able to relive my favorite pastime day after day, make a living from it, and continually evolve into a better person. This blog, as well as my YouTube channel, has allowed me to pursue all my dreams resulting in extensive travel, which always gives me new insight and inspiration for my content. I love fusing the mood of my location with the clothing I’m pairing it with … and sharing it with you.
Last year I moved from the walk of fame in Hollywood to the neon lights of Las Vegas. Currently, I am splitting my time between Vegas and South Florida where my boyfriend lives.
